The 5 Hour Collab V thread will be posted on the Flash forum on Wednesday (22nd July) at 7pm (UK time) 2pm (Eastern Daylight time - which is the time Newgrounds runs on). The theme will be posted and participants will have 5 hours to animate a flash in that time and then send it into to me and I'll compile them all into one big collab! There will be 9 co-authors based on the quality of parts.

Today was my last ever day at school. Next up, I'm doing an animation course at university, (Motion Graphics and Animation Design).

Also, stay tuned for this summer's flash schedule, which includes the following:

I'm working on a new version of Portal of Madness without pixel art (!) (see below for some examples). If I can get a good online coder to help me, it could turn into an multiplayer online fighting game which would be a awesome. If the multiplayer stuff doesn't work out, it will still have the online portal like in version 1, but hopefully with more options.

Also, for Madness Day 2009 i'm going to release Madness Pixelation 1.5. The new installment starts towards the end of Madness Pixelation (as tricky is chasing Hank) and carries on with their fight (instead of cutting to the goofy Castle Crashers ending like it shows in the first one). I'm aiming to make it an epic 5 minutes battle with loads of special effects and stuff.

The Submission

It's time to get a few things straight for the all the raging reviewers. When I made Madness Pixelation, most of the reviewers mentioned that they liked the '8-bit' graphics and stuff, so I thought that this was a neat style to continue. Then I decided to make a sort of dress up game using the same style graphics. Then after a few months of drawing costumes, the application turned into an online dress up game thanks to Mr-Money's coding skills. That's pretty much it, oh and to all the reviewers saying that there is no point to it, you're pretty much right and a lot of flash games have no point, they're just fun for a little while. This application is meant to be something you spend like 5 minutes on.

Anyway, a few people have been saying that it would be cool if I converted it into a game where you could fight Madness characters online, this is something I will to consider doing, but I don't know about the graphics situation. Any suggestion?

I'm making a Madness game with a superdy duperdy coder and it's going to be crazy (also look out for Madness Pixelation 1.5). If anyone's interested, Newgrounds Pass 4 is happening this year, but it's going to be a collab! Oh yeah and I'm helping make Tank Search 2, if you haven't played the first game, you should it's really fun. Also expect some movies (and even games) from me and Morrow as well.

So that's my schedule for this year.
